Jamilla Deville


Jamilla Deville comes from a background in dance, as well as adagio, trapeze and silks. Jamilla started pole in 2000 and was one of the industry’s first professional instructors. Having claimed the original title of Miss Pole Dance Australia, she went on to create the International Pole Federation, as well as the first volumes of The Art of Pole DVD Collection. Known as “the pole dancers bible”, The Art of Pole has expanded into a top-selling series of 8 DVDs which continues to influence both students and teachers globally. From 2009-2011 Jamilla was awarded International Instructor of the Year from the IPDFA as well as Pole Dance International Magazine. Jamilla is the face of X-Pole Australia and represents the brand at events internationally. Most recently she won the United Pole Artists Pro Poler of the Year 2014 award. Leysan Gayazova

Leysan Gayazova trained at the Circus School of Kazan specializing in aerial hoop, rope and tissue. She has won awards at the Moscow Festival and Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain. Prior to performing for Cirque du Soleil, she performed with the Russian circus “Ros Gos Cirque” for 2 years. She performed for Cirque du Soleil in the touring shows Amaluna and Varekai. In addition to teaching aerial hoop and flexibility at Shine, she also coaches corde lisse, and contortion.

Talia Marino

Talia Marino, a Miami native, began her dance training at the age of 6. After making top 25 female on SYTYCD, she moved to Los Angeles. In LA she performed in The Toledo Show, Charo’s Back-Up dancer, and a promo for Nip Tuck Season 6. Talia was part of thr original cast of Cirque du Soleil’s “Viva Elvis”. And performed on Dancing with the Stars, SYTYCD, Jerry Lewis Telethon, Strictly Come Dancing in England, and is in Cirque du Soleil’s 3D movie “Worlds Away”. After the closing of Viva Elvis, she performed at The Act Las Vegas in the Palazzo. Talia then moved to Macau to be a feature performer in the show “Taboo”. She traveled throughout Hong Kong, China, and South Africa performing her art forms. Talia rejoined with Cirque du Soleil for the MJ Immortal World Tour. Sunni Thomason

Sunni Thomason is originally from Dallas, Texas. At age six, she began dancing at Forchers Dance Center for the Performing Arts. She continued her ballet training at Madame Krassovska's Ballet Jeunesse under the artistic direction of Nathalie Krassovska. She performed as student and artist receiving her first professional role at 14. She furthered her education through summers spent at The Rock School of Ballet in Philadelphia PA and Ballet Magnificat! in Jackson MS. In 2005 Sunni went on to work as a soloist for Metropolitan Classical Ballet under the artistic direction of Alexsander Vetrov and Paul Mejia. She has had the pleasure of dancing in such ballets as Sparticus, Paganini, Paquita, Brahms Waltzes and the world premier of Anatoly Emelianov's The Time, to name a few. She has been a guest artist and coach for many years focusing on classical and contemporary dance as well as fitness and physical health.
To enjoy the benefits of flexibility, one must understand the body and the way it responds to specific poses and movements. The class is designed to increase flexibility and improve body alignment through a variety of deep stretches and challenging positions (splits, backbends, hip and shoulder mobility, etc…). All levels are welcome, but be prepared to leave your comfort zone!
 
Level: Open
 
Recommended Attire: Short sleeve or long sleeve shirt (please no tank tops), yoga pants or capris. You will remove shoes and jewelry prior to class.
