Michael Lipari

Michael Lipari has been performing for more than 10 years with top companies and artists. Michael returned to Las Vegas from Singapore where he created a brand-new act for a multi-million dollar production in which he performed as a principal aerialist. His other career accomplishments include performing as aerial captain in Kylie Minogue’s Aphrodite World Tour, performing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, and performing at The Grammys. Lipari has also worked with recording artists Nelly Furtado and The Black Eyed Peas. Michael was the first-ever aerialist to appear live on “America’s Got Talent,” making it all the way to the season finale. Michael specializes in aerial silks, hoop, and rope.

Lesley Vaughn

Lesley Vaughn was born in Mammoth Lakes, California and grew up in South America. Her family started a Christian ministry, called 'For His Children,' that cares for abandoned children in Quito, Ecuador. After attending the University of California Santa Barbara, she moved to Los Angeles to work as a professional dancer. Soon there after she discovered aerial and fell in love immediately. She has since done live performances for Kanye West, Jennifer Lopez, Beats Antique, Korean Band JYJ, Aqualillies and danced for the MLS soccer team Chivas USA, among other things. She has worked on commercials with Justin Bieber, Hiedi Klum, Vitamin Water, and Shisheido. Lesley also has performed in music videos for Justin Beiber and Daft Punk; and appeared on various TV shows such as HBO's Big Love, The Doctors, Hip Hop Abs and Disney's Shake it Up. She has taught dance and aerial for many years and is always interested in how to further deepen and enrich her knowledge of her passion and loves to inspire others to do the same. Yukari Makino Cooperstock

Yukari Makino Cooperstock is a pole and aerial performer and instructor, and has taught aerial and pole at numerous studios worldwide. As a pole athlete, she won the title of Paragon International Pole Champion 2014. As an aerial artist, she has recently been on the stage of One Night for One Drop, the charity show by Cirque du Soleil. She has won many winning titles such as Miss Pole Dance Japan 2011 & 2012 and Asia-Pacific Pole Acrobatic Dance Championship 2011. As a fitness instructor, she became Reebok One fitness ambassador in 2014. Andrew Leach

Currently a resident artist at Cirque du Soleil's LIGHT nightclub, Andrew Leach has had the pleasure of performing aerial acrobatics all over Europe, South America and the US. Trained by a former Moscow State Circus artist, he prides himself on clean technique and the ability to translate his knowledge to various body types and learning styles.

Jonathan Cole

Jonathan Cole was a competitive gymnast by the age of six. Jonathan continued to pursue gymnastics as well as acrobatics until the age of twenty-five. In 1998, Jonathan auditioned for Cirque du Soleil. The following year, he was invited to participate in the very first general formation in Montreal, a Cirque du Soleil camp designed to form artists. This was the beginning of what was to become an unbelievable eleven year career with Cirque du Soleil. After performing special events (aerial pas de deux), he continued on to the touring show Quidam. Finally, he was transferred to a permanent show in Las Vegas, “O”. In Las Vegas, Jonathan discovered another passion in the form of coaching gymnastics and aerial, which he has been doing for the past six years.

Shyamtara Kuepfer

Originally from New Zealand, Shyamtara is a dynamic aerial performer. She has performed around the world on land and sea, from settings as diverse as traditional circus to some of the world’s largest nightclubs. She takes great pleasure in sharing her knowledge with students at Shine Fitness.

This class is a mixed Level 1 and Intermediate class, focusing on having fun and sharing tricks and knowledge of Aerial Silks! Besides feeling like a performer, you will develop your upper body, core and grip strength which will allow you to support your own weight on the silks. You will develop your flexibility and body awareness through the positioning of the fabric. You will use the fabric to wrap, suspend, fall, swing, and spiral your body into and out of various positions. Aerial silks will help you gain a high degree of confidence, strength, power, flexibility, courage, and grace.

Recommended Attire: Short sleeve or long sleeve shirt (please no tank tops), yoga pants or capris. You will remove socks, shoes, and jewelry prior to class.
